The petition for a charter was granted on May 23, 1892 with about 20 signatures. Over the years they met in several different town buildings. In 1925, there was a fire in the Masonic Building and they lost all of their possessions and records but continued to meet in other places. In 1977, they met in the American Legion Building across the street from where the present day Masonic Lodge was being built. The chapter meets the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m., except in May they meet on the third Wednesday. They welcome all new members.
